Kiddo here. I come here hoping to get some help with a new aquarium my dad just got.

I like to keep Gouramis, danios, and bettas.

I love anime! especially samurai and ninja.

Glad to hear about the rescue, and it's a good thing that getting the betta resulted in the prevention of mroe fishy deaths (the balas or the other bettas that would have been bought to fight Dwayne).

Bleach seems pretty neat, though I have not looked into it very much just yet. Kenshin is possibly my favorite anime ever. (Either Kenshin or Samurai Deeper Kyo.)

Oh! And a very strange fish confession.

Small fish scare me.

I love having an aquarium, and I love keeping fish as pets. Still, I could never ever touch one. I have no problem with touching wild fish, but I could never touch a pet fish. I don't know why, but it freaks me out to no end. I sometimes have nightmares about being surrounded by fish on the floor and trying not to step on them.

Uh. Yeah. Still, I love keeping pet fish. I love taking care of them, watching them, and seeing thier cute personalities. They are one of my favorite kinds of pets. (Along with Dogs, Rats, and Cats.)

But I do have some sort of strange phobia of fish...

I guess its not as bad as having a fear of paper clips, though...?

Yes, strange and very funny.

Not sure where the fear of pet fish stems from. *scratches head* But, it is definitely very weird, though in time and a few water changes with a gravel vac, it should go away.

As for the fear of stepping on the fish, I had a very weird dream once where I had some large piscivorous fish in my tank (the weirdest of which was a baby killer whale that was as small as my palm). So, of course, I freaked out when I was sleeping, trying to keep all my small fish alive along with the bigger ones, and the rest is a blur, except for the part where my stepmom picks the killer whale by the tail (for some reason, despite its size, I was afraid of it taking my hand off if I put my hand in the tank) and she threw it at the sink. I believe the sink thing ended up killing the poor baby whale, but it shouldn't have been in my freshwater tank to begin with.

You should check out Bleach--manga or anime, the choice is yours, since for the most part the animators are not deviating from the manga.
