Hex Tank Stocking

well I did some geometry (not sure thats spelt write :look: )

and divide the hex tank up to make a normal shaped tank, and whacked this values into PFKs caluclator they gave me this:

System type Tropical freshwater aquarium
Dimensions 53 x 18 x 36cm/21" x 7" x 14"
Surface area 0.1 sqm/1.08 sq ft/ inches sq in
Volume 34 l./7 gal. (8.98 US gal.)
Probable volume 31 l./6 gal. (8 US gal.)
Stocking density 6"/15cm (built up gradually)
Maximum density 12"/30cm (theoretical maximum)

so my guessing wasn't too bad, and yeah I know this isn't exactly but I guess I'm looking at 4-5" gradually MAX of around 10"

well thats probably the first time I've used my high school maths since I left, and I've got a degree in computer science,

WOW I would be lost at the first sum.. well thats good haha. sounds about right aswell. although I know nothing lol

you are right that the more surface area the more fish and stuff and you cant have as many fish in the hex
but you gota stock it ;) you know a small group of glass hatchet fish would be good they only grow to 1 inch

cool although hatchets are active
enjoy your fish

I really like hatchets but when ever I've seen them they just hang at the surface. oh well maybe I'll get some when I get my own house and can house another tank :D
