Just wanted to say, my dwarf Elvis is building one he** of a bubble nest! He's using big pieces of java moss and little leaves off some of the other plants. I had no idea they would use plants in their bubble nest... I was thinking they'd be like a bettas.
This is just so cool! I wish I had room to put in 1-2 females for him.
Maybe I can... if I take out the whiteskirts?
OHHHHH yes they luv to rip bits off plants to use in the nest It also fun to watch, and when the piece he's just put in the nest drops down. He will try his hardest to make it stay where he put it.
It's probably best not to add a female. Even if they spawn peacefuly, you'll then have to find a place to put all his tank-mates when he starts defending the nest and chasing his female. You wouldn't be able to raise any fry in a community tank anyway.
Congrats though Sounds like your male is healthy and happy.
