HELP

there are little white worm looking things crawling on the glass and kinda floating around the tank. whats are they and how do i get rid of them.? they are in my oscar tank and if he dies i will be ever so pissed.

what do i do?

these are probably planaria. they are harmless to your fish and are just unsightly. the fish will eat them.
they are found naturally living in the gravel and plants, and multiply quickly if you dont gravel vac regularly. overfeeding is another cause for a build up of them.

I am thinkin along the same lines as black angel, but pix would help to be sure.

Has your oscar been eating any of them ?

if you want to get rid of them completely, you would probabilly have to empty the tank, wash it all out, and start again, as they can be a nightmare to get rid of.

the main way ive found to get rid of these, or the majority of them until u can do a complete restart up, is to introduce a few ottos, and other bottom feeders, as they have more of a tentancy to eat them.
