I've just noticed the tail of one of my platies looks like it has white on it and I haven't noticed it before tonight. Her behaviour isn't any different to normal. She is in a tank with 5 other platies all from the same shop and they are all fine. The ammonia and nitrite are both 0 and I've done a 50% water change earlier today. Anyone know what this could be?!

from what i can see it looks like fin rot, tends to be common with platies :/ , but i could be wrong.
if its any use search up symptoms of it see if they relate to each other

Thanks. That's what I thought too. I'll go to the LFS tomorrow morning

Same thoughts here... looks like it was possibly a nip that turned to fin rot.

Yeah that's what the man in the LFS thought too. He gave me some treatment to put in the water. Gave me it for free too (I think I must be their best customer lol)
