Help !

Bought 4 different live tropical plants this week off e bay. Trouble is they came with no instructions at all despite asking for it. 3 of them had pieces of lead attached so i put them all in my gravel substrate,biggest one is green,20 cms high with spiky leaves similar to a fir tree ? Smaller one is reddish,with small broader leaves growing off the trunk ?

Have I done it right ?

if you can upload some pictures of them it will help a lot. different plants need different requiments and some are not truly aquatic and will rott in your tank

Only info i got was with invoice was this :

"Some will be stem plants which start to root once planted,and some will be well rooted plants,all should be planted in subtrate ASAP"

That's the one,they look a lot like these names I found doing a search,but these dont match any names on your list ??.

1 is probably GREEN CABOMBA, its fully aquatic and a stem plant you should be fine with this
2 or 3 could be ALTERNANTHERA REINECKII ROSEAFOLIA RED?

Do i need to take the lead strips off the other plants ?

Yeah take of the lead and plant into the substrate

How long will it be before the plants hopefully 'strike' into the gravel ?

Fish pecking at new plants now and then,nothing disastrous yet but is this normal ?

Yeah its normal, most likely eating the algae of the leaves
