Hiya, i have posted before but got no replies, in my tank that we bought at the weekend 2nd hand with the fish included, we have 2 mollies, they are quite largs, almost 3 inch, the female (white one) appears quite heavily pregnant and she is constantly chasing the poor male.. i'm beginning to think i am going to have to seperate them? I'm SO glad that i bought the fish tank from these people, they had no idea about what fish to keep together, ratios etc. Would introducing another female help? Thing is, the mollies you see in LFS's are tiny young ones, these ones are huge!

Advice needed asao! I don't want to find one of these fish dead :\

With Molly's the ratio should be 1 m - 2 f. She could just be chasing him away so that she can give birth, you could try moving all your plants( plastic or real) into one corner of the tank so she has somewhere to hide.

You should not find a fish dead. The female is just asserting her dominance, but it seldom goes much farther than that.
