we've only hd them for about 4 weeks, the shop told us it was fine, we live in the netherlands, telling us we can change the water using the tap water, we have a heater and filter, no test kit, it has been going completelty fine until now

the reason could be the chlorine in the water. Fish have a layer of slime covering their body, which protects them. Using water straight from the tap has chlorine in it and damages the fish. Theres a product available called dechlorinator which you have to use. It isnt realy expensive but a must have. Unfortunately im not sure what is wrong, but a member with more experience in this field wil be able to diagnose your fish :good:

we were going to bringher to shop tomorrow, but unfortunaelty she just passed away :(:(

thank you for you help anyway, atleast shes not in pain!

Sorry about you losing Pippa like that. My guess is the tank is not cycled and toxins built up in the water. How often did you change the water and how much?
These toxins that build up damage the fish's gills and internal organs, and can cause death.
