i have a stingray filter in my 60 liter fish tank
i have a guppy in the tank and the head of the filter is a bit out of the water which makes more air bubles and a nice sound but im not sure if my guppy likes it should i put the the filter all the way douwn under the water would the guppy be even more happy

is there any diffrance if the head of the filter where the water runs back is out of the water

thanks

As long as the water is rippling it's fine.
Stingrays i've found to be quite strong filters, make sure he's not being blown around to much and he'll be fine

what do you meen by rippling? is it like just the movement of the water at the top of the tank?

ye they are strong and you cant lower the power like on some spunge filters

I have 1 more Q:

When the head is out of the water it looks like a lot of air bubbles are getting into the water and when it is under there is nun is that bad for the fish if there is no bubbles?

thanks for your help

Bubbles in the water will add a tiny amount of oxygen but very little, so no bubbles is fine. As long as the surface is moving as I described before.

Bubbles or no bubbles really does not matter for oxygen. As long as the water at the tank's surface is moving and being replaced by fresh water, the oxygen exchange will take place. An easy way to assure yourself of that happening is to look for ripples on the water surface. If the water surface looks mirror smooth, it may not be seeing enough water movement, but you do not need to see waves and splashing to be getting enough mixing.

ok thanks for all of your help

i have some Tetra Pleco Wafers i just want to know would the guppy eat it cause i think i sow in a vid where some guppies eating some wafers

Guppies quite readily eat from algae wafers but it is not a staple diet for them. They will need other foods too.
