Hi one of my female guppies is not looking too clever this morning she is sitting at the top of the tank but she seems to have like white fur growing on her !!!

Any idea's what might be wrong???

Please any suggestions would be great

Meth Blue will kill filter bacteria.

Best thing to do is to isolate her and treat her away from the main tank.

Can you describe the white stuff a bit more please? Is it a fluffy, hairy growth or is it slimy?

Fluval Roma 200 litre......

Inhabitants......

7 Guppies

4 Platys

1 Clown Loach

1 Sucker Fish

2 fry

Water Stats......(just done)

Ammonia - 0ppm

NO2 - 0ppm

NO3 - 5.o

PH high - 7.8

It's kinda fluffy round her back end and belly

She's eating fine and is swimming about most of the time... ????

Sounds like it could be whitespot (i'm sure Wilder will confirm when she is online).

I would isolate immediately and add a course of treatment such as Interpet #8 (Anti Whitespot & Fungus), or another brand intended for the same job.

its not white spot i've had that in my other tank this looks weird. How can i isolate her my 10 Gallon has been taken down ????

Any suggestions ????

Oh and today is bloodworm day can i still give them it?

The most common cause of that whitish furry look is columnaris. I am no treatment expert so I suggest you post in the fish emergencies area for advice on it.
