It is the first time I have set up an aquarium and I bought 4 penguin tetras and other fish, however I noticed that one of my penguin tetras had white spots (which passed it on 2 others) but the problem is I have an elephant nose fish and I have noticed 1 or 2 spots and he is iching like mad? I no that you can not put treatment in with the elephant nose fish but I dont want to loose my whole tank. any advice please ???

Elephant nose need the best quality tanks like tanks tht have been running for months and month not new tanks. as need perfect conditions. Elephant noses dont have scales and cant take some medication. so go to your lfs ask for white spot treatment and read everything on it. if it contains dont use on "Merymaids" then you cant yuse it as elephant nose's are merymaids.
