I got really into fish about 3 years ago however since then I've had my son and my tanks took a back seat. We recently moved to a new house and it was the ideal time to upgrade my tanks. I went from 2 tanks to one larger and I appear to have successfully merged the fish from both tanks. So whilst I know my stocking may not be ideal, its working. Currently it is as follows:

Starlight Plec (L182)
Golden Nugget (L081)
Spotted Climbing Perch
Zebra Loach
Pictus Catfish x 2
Boesemani Rainbow x 4 (3 females + 1 male)
Denison Barb x 3

The tank is a Aqua One Aquience 1200R which holds 300L. Filtration wise I'm running 2 x Aqua One CF1200's.

I know that I should really have more Zebra Loaches and I did at one point (3 years ago) but they have declined in numbers and they aren't something I'm interested in getting more off.

My Perch poses a threat to any small fish so I can't get anything too little.

My idea at the moment is to add more rainbows but I'm wondering if anyone could make any alternative suggestions about stocking? I'm so out of touch with tropical fish now and really don't know what I should be doing with regards to stocking.

i personally would try and re-home the perch this will the open up more stocking possibilities to you.

and why not re-home the zebra loach

Hey, thanks for replying. I will never rehome the perch as he's my favourite fish. I've had him and the loach since I started fish keeping and I'm not one for rehoming fish.

I see your from Camelon, I've just moved from there. Now in Aberdeenshire.
