Help With New Tank

Afternoon all, a while back I posted about how I had got a free 4ft hexagon tank from a neighbour but they had cleaned it out with Mr Muscle. It's been sat in my garage now for about 2 month I've rinsed it twice with the jet washer and boiling water do you think it will be safe too use as I need to clean my main tank out and re scape it so need to house my rams and plec in it for a week or so.

It's probably alright, although I wouldn't put any expensive or precious fish in there to begin with, just to be sure.

You could always clean it with bleach and let it dry naturally just to be sure. I think 20 parts water to 1 part bleach is the mixture. To be sure it is all gone, you can then add double dechlorinator (as bleach is chlorine).

I rubbed it all down with dechlorinator when I rinsed it out I'm nervous now as the rams and plec mean alot to me

I would have thought that you will be ok. The only thing you have to be careful of is if the chemicals they used soaked into the silicone and leak back out. I would just double up the dechlorinator when you fill it up.

Would it be best to set it up double up On dechlorinator and let it stand over night ?

Dechlorinator like Prime works instantly so you should not need to let it stand.
