Help With New Borns!

Hey. I have aload of angel fish babies, I ripped the leaf off and put it in a little baby floating thing. Anyway loads of the eggs have hatched, but the male angel just hangs around it. But at the bottom of this floating thing has tiny gaps which the male goes to and manages to get some out to eat them. any ideas how to stop this without taking it out of the tank?
