Help With My New Tank

please help me :(

i have just set up a tank and my first lot of fish were tetra's cherry barbs and black widow's.
then i went and brought 5 mollies.

what i want too know is do i need to now put aquarium salt in. they all seem happy as they are at the moment. i just dont know what to do. i have been told i shouldnt have brought the mollies but the shop said it was ok.

How big is your tank? Has it been cycled yet? If your tank has not been cycled... ( in other words if you just set it up, and put the fish in it not long after you added the water) then you need to be extremely careful about what fish you put in. Most people do not "cycle" a tank with fish I think, but many do, but only with certain species of fish that have proven to be extremely hardy and can handle the chemical changes and higher toxicity of a new tanks initial cycle.

Give us more information, and the more experienced members here will be able to help you out.
