Does she have eggs in her mouth? Cardinals hold their brood in their mouths ;)

That's what I was thinking but I thought that my cardinals were both males  But I guess my next challenge is keeping the babies alive  Any tips?

Well, the first step would be to win the lottery.

Step number two, buy tons of baby copepods, rotifers, and brine shrimp.

Then, hire a team of aquarists to give the babies round the clock care.

Actually, it should be a fairly easy task by yourself. But you will probably need rotifers to do it. And do not do anything to frighten the "mommy"; she will swallow the eggs if threatened. Since eggs are so high in nutrients, and it seems pointless to try to rear them (to the mother), she will not waste them.

Rotifers are small planktonic life similar to phytoplankton

Usually they're bought live from a local breeder or from a saltwater specialty LFS. They do not ship well live unfortunately.

This should not be that hard to do.I say go for it! :good: :good: :good:

Without a seperate breeding tank, are you even sure these babies will get past your Firefish and Clowns? How do you plan to raise these little fellas? Adding significant amounts of any small food can play havoc with your water parameters, will your tank and fish go through this? Id suggest you do more research on the breeding and raising of Bangai Cardinals before you buy food other fish probably wont eat. RC is a great place to get breeding info in their Fish Breeding Forum, you could also do simple Googles earches, there will be many step by step threads/discussions.
