Hi guys, I am rehoming this little guy for a friend who is changing her tank from tropical to cold water. Trouble is, I'm not sure what he is (I suspect an albino barb or a tetra of some kind), and was hoping someone here with more expertise could help?

Could you also let me know how the fish would get along with my current stock (2 swords, 2 mollies and a clown pleco), and would it be okay by itself or should I get another of the same species to keep him company?

Thanks in advance!

It's a blushing tiger barb, they do best in shoals of 6+. It will be fine with your current residents. How large is your aquarium?

Thank you for the ID :) I only have a 10gal, so certainly
couldnt accommodate 6 of these barbs! Would it be mean to have just this one (who's been on his own for about 3 months)? Or would I be better off finding another home for him?

If hes fine you can leave him. He will do better if you give him a new home though
