Help With Firemouth Please!

My firemouths mouth is staying wide open and doesn't usually do this is their something wrong with him? Hes acting normal but his red underneath him has got a lot more red and near enough along the whole

firemouths breaking jaws is common since they're mouths are weaker than other cichlids. Do you have any other cichlids in the tank? It may have had its jaw broken if it got in a fight and locked lips. It'd be best to isolate him and hope he gets better, though it may be permanent, in which a little extra care may be needed to keep him alive.

Only another firmouth but they never fight, iv just put some food in to see if he could eat it and he didn't have no problem with that
