Help With Ferts And Stuff

Hi, I have 1.6 WPG going and that is one 30 inch original tropical lamp and one 30 inch tropical lamp

Basically I have a ferplast CO2 system, which isn't set up yet as well and I want to know:

1) I should run the CO2

2) what ferts shall I use, was looking at seachem flourish

How big is the tank? I make it either 80G or just over 20G. Do you know the wattage of those tubes? I assume they are T8's which would make them 25w each.

If you've got a 20g tank then CO2 probably aint essential, but would probably help the plants. If its 80g get some CO2 in there quick!

Flourish is an excellent fert, which you'll prob need to add weekly. But again this'll prob depend on the size of the tank and the plants you've got.

dunno how you got that cos it's a 33 gallon

What is the wattage of the tubes?

If you're at 1.6WPG then CO2 aint essential, but would help. And a fert like flourish added weekly would be fine.

tubes are two 25 watt T8's. the tank is a 30 gallon (miscalculation on the other post). I have a CO2 kit but where on earth do I get a check valve?

Another question. I have some vallis, i thought it wasn't growing as it wasn't getting taller, but when I rearranged my tank they had loooads of runners. Why is it going ---------> that way instead of up?

Oh right, dont know how I managed to work out your tank size the way I did A check value can be bought from most LFS you dont need a CO2 specific one just an normal air one would do, like you would put after an air pump, just ask the shop people should know what you're after (well in theory anyway!).

As to the Valls, dont know whats going on there, but at least its growing!
