Help With Female Betta

Poor thing. R.I.P.
Sounds like she died of stress to me, not eating and columnaris can be caused by stress.
Such a shame.

Ok here's the pics

What she was like

And now. Note the fungus stuff coming away from caudal fin (not anal as previously stated)

Poor thing thats was bad.
Once columnaris affects the gills fish don't usually make it.
Dosn't look fluffy in the pic on the body of the fish.

No nothing was on the body just the fin. Since she died the fungus went all gooey after i got her out the water.

I have no luck with Red Dragon females at all  had one last year that was ill for 3/4 months before dying. Guess i'd better strip the tank down and get the disenfectant out.

So the white on her body normal then.
Never seen that type of betta before.
Feel a right idiot now.

LOL......she has lost some of her colour since passing. This is only the second red dragon female we have seen in the UK for sale, bought them both, and this one in a hard bidding war on ebay.

She was meant to be spawned with this handsome guy

He came from the same seller, along with 2 other males and they are fine :good:

Wonder why you never mentioned it.
