I've just set up a tank and have a few questions about my Aqua One filter (model 101F I think). The instructions in the box haven't been very helpful.
My filter has a few attachments, two of which are the "duckbill" and "venturi". The duckbill sucks in water and spurts it out again and seems to be the main attachment as it is pictured on the box. The venturi one (I think) is for blowing bubbles into the water.
At the moment I'm using the duckbill and the top of the filter is just below the surface of the water so it is producing some movement on the surface, and a few air bubbles.
My question is, when and how often should I use the venturi attachment??? I'm confused as my friend says her filter has both the duckbill and venturi attachments at the same time, whereas with my filter I think I have to choose.
A response that's easy for a beginner to understand would be much appreciated
