Help With A Poorly Cory..

So my tank is slowly building up and i just last week added 3 little Jullii Corys.. But, i had a slight accident with one. in my moment of excitment (aided with the light off is my defence..) i accidently managed to through the bag away with one poor little chap stuck in the top of it

I freaked hard and got him staight into the tank.
As they are all identical, im unsure just which one had the unfortunate luck. but out of the 3, one of them really doesnt look good. The other two have slowly adapted and look like they are doing just fine.. I've just fed them and the one other one did not move at all. its been pretty much all he's being doing - not moving much.

So my question is - is there anything i can do to help the poor thing? i am so urging him with my mind to get better. but it would seem mind control over fish is something im yet to master.

Any sugestions would be much apreciated! :-(

When you say your tank is 'slowly building up', how long has the tank been setup and running for?

Can you please give us some details on the size of your tank and what other fish (if any) you currently have?
Have you tested the water with a test kit at all? If so, can you post the results?

If you haven`t done a water change of at least 30-40% in the last couple of days I`d suggest you do one asap. Seeing as we don`t know what your water quality is it may help to get some clean dechlorinated water into your tank.

It may well be that your little cory is stressed from a bit of a traumatic start and he may well need some time to adjust but the water stats and details of your tank would help to determine what the problem could be.

Well its a 64 litre tank. I currently have 5 guppies, 4 harliquin rasboras and 3 little corys. its been going now for just over 4 weeks. Started with the guppies and added slow.
I test the water every 2-3 days and the levels are all fine. Last water change i done was maybe.. 5 days ago. I did, probally 10%. then previous to that i did a 10%, maybe, once a week. Levels are the best they've been for me and seem to be keeping at the same.
I am planning to do another change tomrrow evening, so im hoping it will cheer him up a bit.
I hope it is just that the little guy is just freaked out completly and scared to move. This will pass if it is the case huh? Im wandering if i should be feeding them something different to flakes too. might help him eat, because the guppies are crazy quick at scoffing the food.

Corys are obviously bottom feeders and flake alone will not be enough for them, you should also be feeding foods such as bloodworm, daphnia, algae wafers etc.
Its completely possible that he is stressed and scared and yes if that`s the case then hopefully that will pass however, if your water quality isn`t good then you may risk losing the little fella, a water change needs to be done before tomorrow evening, just to be on the safe side.

I know you say that your water is fine but you should really be doing more than 10% water changes.....30% minimum a week is the norm. What do you use to test your water? Would it be possible to post your test results here for us?

Such small water changes could well have caused a rise in ammonia and/or nitrites which needs to be brought right the way down for the sake of your fishes health.
