Help! Velvet And White Spot In The Same Tank.

Hello

I have picked up velvet and Whitespot in my tanks. Yeah, yeah, dont share nets etc.
To add to it all, one of the pleccies has finrot.

Never the less, What can I use to treat both bacteria simutaneously?
The finrot does not seem to be getting worse, although they are not eating again.

I've already lost all my scissors and a Kuhli loach

Anyone got ideas?

What med are you using. Does he say in the instuctions if you can use bacterial med with the parasite med.
Finrot quite common on top of parasites.
Soemtimes the parasite med helps with finrot.

Alas, one died, the other not far behind

Did a waterchange, added some potassium permanganate for the ick.

Within hours, both pleccies covered in this brown goo.

I scraped it off this guy, you can see it at the back, he didnt even fight it.

Chappie still holding on..

potassium permanganate can be lethal if not used right.
How much did you add to the tank.

Far too much unfortunately,

2000ml per Litre

I realised my calculation error immediately, and pumped the tank out and refilled it, but the shock was massive.
He is the only survivor

Has heavy breathing, which may very well be gill damage.
Feel like a right royal ##### at the moment.

Who suggested using that med as I would just bought a whitespot med.
Its not looking good for the remaining fish either.

He died last night...

Luckily there was only 2 fish in the tank.

Will clean out and start a fishless cycle again.

Thinking of making a Gourami tank, bar the snakeskin maybe.

if the whitespot does flare up in the other tank I would use a lfs whitespot med.
