why post it twice?

there may not be anyone who can help

can you not google its needs? phone the RSPCA, they will get it from you

i posted twice to double his chances of survival im trying google but failing a bit

i would release him into a pond asap, if he's visible ill then u can probs care for him but a wild animal does worse in captivity

me personally (and am suprised i dont have a personal account) call the RSPCA and they will be able to tell you what to do and answer all concerns, tell you where to release him, or take him for you

theyre good people

If its not unjured please take it back to where your sister found it, DO NOT release it into a pond, at this time of year they will be looking for somewhere to hibernate, rock piles or thick grassy banks where they can find somewhere to sit out the winter. It will have left its pond, could be in someones back garden as they prefer still water, to find somewhere to hibernate.

All newts are a protected species and you could get into trouble from the RSPCA for holding a wild animal. Sounds daft but I know someone that got a real ticking off for putting a swan in their garage as it wasnt injured (just stunned)!

Hope this helps.

thanks yeah my sister found it in the road and i wouldnt put it in the pond as it would be too cold i think ime gonna go release him/here into a hedge
