I would be posting this in the emergency section but apparently i dont have persmission, regardless. i need some help

some of The black part (carbon im guessing) of the filter has fallen into my aquarium, it looks like small black rocks. Im pretty sure its not suppose to be in there, im having trouble getting all of it out of the tank, what effect does it have on the fish? should i take all the fish out until i get the black stuff out? Any advice would help thank you.

I doubt it will do anything. You are, talking about activated Carbon, one of the main types of chemical filtration used by hobbyists.

Try to get it out, but I don't think you need to move the fish.

Once full active carbon will no longer work and i believe it can leach toxins back into the water, but it's not a major problem with just a few pieces, try to syphoned out what you can though
