Help! Something Is Wrong With My Plecos Fin!

One of my pleco's fin's is always stuck out, whereas the other fin is tucked in.. The one thats tucked in is okay and moving but the other fin doesnt move at all and is quite stiff. Whats wrong?? Use link below to see pic.. http/img717.imageshack.us/i/001ujz.jpg/

A stiff outstretched fin could be a sign of external parasites. Inspect the area carefully looking for anything out of the ordinary e.g. discolouration, blemishes etc. that could help you diagnose it.

Hey, thank you for replying.. I can't see any blemishes or discolouration.. but if it is that, how can I sort it? And.. I thought maybe it could've been a broken fin? What can I do to help him? I'm worried..

depending on what it is, if its bacterial infection, id use melafix and fungal i'd use pimafix. if its parasitic, there's plenty out there. if its a broken fin, i'd just leave it.

Hi, I did a 50% water change on Friday and bought a bottle of prime, as I have had 4 fish died.. I did a 75% water change today as when I had my water tested on Friday the nitrate was up.. so I did what I was advised to do.. would that have any effect on my plecos fin? My other pleco is fine, and the other fish are too. But when I did the water change Friday.. fish were still dying? And I don't understand.. thanks for your help
