From memory I think there's actually someone on the board who keeps honeys and sparklings at least together in one of those Bi-Orb tanks. Do a search, you might be able to track them down and ask them some questions.

You might have problems with the dwarfs. They can be aggressive, and they tend to get sick and die a lot unless you can get one from a breeder.

i agree with southerncross, stay away from dwarfs. just read around the gourami section and see how many dwarf disease problems there are. gouramis can be aggressive with there own kind at least from my personal experience. keeping them in trios (2female 1 male) is supposed to tame them a bit.

There are lots of types of gouramis which are small, just stay away from dwarfs!

Sparkling and liquorice are not uncommonly found on sale and are beautiful fish. Or you could consider the chocolates - or vaillant chocs.

That's me! :good:

Hello mit!

I have 2 types of honeys, lots of sparklers and 3 dwarf gourami in my 60L orb and they're all getting along well. I have lost one of my dwarf gourami in a mysterious death but I recon it was beaten up by the sunset dwarf male.

If I were you mit, I'd go for sparklers and honeys and forget about the dwarfs. You can get red robin gourami which are another type of honey gourami but you'll have heartache with the dwarfs as they're prone to dying fast and suddenly :(

You'll find it impossible to sex sparklers (I can't tell what I've got) but pairs of honeys will be fine together :D
