Hi Guys

Can anyone help,

Like and idiot I have managed to get sand between the algie magnetic glass cleaner on the inside of my tank while cleaning and it has scratched the iside of the tank.

Does anyone know if theres a way to remove the scratches, they are at the bottom of the tank so it will have to be done with the water in it !!

Cheers

Lee

I think the only thing you can do is just live with it... sorry...

Use jeweler's rouge, available from several sources, as well as jewelry stores. There are several types, and you'll need to get proper buffing tools. And there is no promise it'll completely hide the scratches. If you use it, carefully follow the directions.

I've accidently scratched the side of the tank before... it's quite common when your scraping algae off the glass...

Thanx but...

I cant drop the water below the level where the scratch , can this rouge be used underwater and will it harm the fish ?

I wouldn't use it underwater, I have used it before, on jewellery, and it really gets everywhere. I'm not sure what's in it but it smells quite waxy. It would tank alot of work to get a good result anyway so you're probably better doing it with the tank empty.

What kind of tank is it anyway? you could always turn it round so the scratch is at the back :D
