my cichlids (pelmatochromis kribensis)had babys in my tank and the babys are swimming around with the
parents what should i do iam afraid the biger fish might eat the babys and i dont want to seperate them from their mother without some help some1 please help fast :/
 
Transfer the mother and babies then, check ph and temp to see if they match, good luck.

thanks would the parents eat the babys when i transfare them or would they die of fright
 
Never kept kribs, but according to that link you leave the youngster with the parents, till the parents lose interest.

I wouldn't think so, why would they die of fright.
 
I see, i think i would leave them as you might stress the parents out, they should protect them, do you have plenty of hiding spaces.

the parents are protecting them now and their is a lot of hideing places in the tank so will i leave them their
 
I would don't wan't to stress the parents as they might not look after them once you move them all over to the other tank, love to see some pics, good luck.

Hi Shady, you might want to add some fake or real plants for the fry to hide in.

What I do is take out the fry when they are free swimming. Some people will leave the fry with the parents. In most cases the fry grow faster with their parents.
