Hey guys. Well I am new around here and really need some help. I have a 55 gallon fish tank and i have tons of platys in it! (they wont stop reproducing lol) but my main problem is lately one or two fish will start swimming vertically (tail over head) and a few days later their scales start to protrude and eventually they die. I am almost positive what ever is causing this is contagious and would love to know how to get it to go away. If anyone could help by telling me what it is and how to fix it I would really appreciate! Thanks!

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Once scales stick out organ failure. Last stage of the dropsy.
Is the fish bloated.
All you can do is epson salt baths to help draw fluids out.
Try a bacterila med in issolation.
What do you feed the fish.
Issolate the sick fish as if it dies in the tank and fish peck at the dead body it can pass onto other fish.
