my water has gone all cloudy so last night i put 2 filters on without the activated carbon then this morning was just as cloudy so i have done a 20% water change with still no luck so i have put the 2 filters bacxk on with the carbon canister this time and i have removed the plants incase its an algea build up can anybody offer any advice

what kind of cloud?
a white/milky cloud points to a bacterial bllom or a particulate problem.
if bacterial it will clear on its own in a few days;
if particulate you need to a something that will make the particles bond to each other tus allowing the filter to trap them (interpet filter aid, or similar)

if a green cloud then you have an algea bloom
a 48hr blackout should cure that.
