Help Please What's Wrong With My Male Platy

I have been noticing that my male platy is behaving strange I think he is a platy he spends most of the days on the bottom of the tank

How long have you had him? Is your tank fully cycled? What are the stats on your tank right now (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)?

Could you post a pic? that would be most helpful Also do you know how to tell males from females or are you going by what the employe at the fish store told you?

I may be a little late to this, especially as you haven't logged back in since 3rd December, but when you say he's acting strange, can you describe what his behaviour is, please.
