Help Please - My Siamese Fighting Fish Has A Big Problem With His Eye

My siamese fighting fish has a clear large growth on his eye and is really sick... Any ideas of the cause or how I could treat it to try and save him?

It is like someone has dropped a big dob of glue on his eye
He is still swimming around but not as much as usual.

Do you mean the eye looks cloudy.
