Ive just found out ive got about 20 baby kribs in my community tank!! noticed the male and female were constantly guarding a little log at the bottom so i got the torch out and i found ATLEAST 20 little babies in there!!! should i leave the mom and dad to look after them?? should i get them out?? how do i feed them, what??? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

mum and dad should look after them for now -I fed mine on liquifry at first then powdered flake food.

Dont worry, the parnets will take care of them, they are know to take flake in theres mouths and feed it to the babies, and babies will eat the leftover food. Congrats on the fry! Please post pics, kribs are beautiful when breeding.

Hi

Congrats on the fry. Your first brood is always amazing, and very exciting.

As the fry get bigger, remember to keep an eye on water quality, and start thinking ahead to where the fry will go.
Most LFS will take them off your hands, but dont expect anything for them. Also, try and sex the fry later on, and take the males to one LFS, and the females to another, a far away as possible. We dont want any banjos playing around here

If you find that some of the fry grow to show really good colouration, grow them on if you can, and you may get something from the LFS for them. It'll help towards food, or other supplies.

Sorry to be all sensible on you, but do enjoy what happening with you Kribs. It's a wonderful sense of achievement to get your fish to breed!

hi, thanks for all your feedback, i am really excited about being a 'dad' he he! so the best thing to do is let mom and dad look after them? ive noticed that mom and dad have moved them out now from the log to a hole they dug in the gravel and a both keeping watch of them!!! will get some pics up later just waiting for camera to charge!
