I have a heavily pregnant platy that I have just noticed cant get her self off the bottom of the tank and has no balance. she seems to have a large white blob were the fry will come from, could it be a stuck baby? I have no clove oil would I be o.k to wrap her in a wet flannel and try to remove this? I have moved her into a floating tank in the main tank to seperate her from the others, please can someone offer me advice asap, I'm desperate.

Ok.
Some members don't recommend this but it's an emergency. Gently squeeze her tummy and it should pop out.
The fry can press on the swim bladder.

Saving Fry: Info taken from here.

Somtimes a livebearer can experience alot of difficulty during the fry birthing process and can die from the stress or fry stuck in her.
Here's what you can do to help try and save the fry in these situations;
A. The pregnant fish is having alot of birthing difficulties and is desperatly trying to expell a fry for hours (you will know because her tail will have become bent to one side and she will be hanging around a spot in the bottom of the tank) and you are positive she is going to die very soon.
I have heard what various people do in this situation is catch the pregnant female and very gently give her belly a very light sqeeze in order to help her expell it; apparently this can work.
B. The pregnant fish has suddenly died while trying to give birth; make sure you have somthing sharp like a razor blade at hand and cut her belly open and remove the fry and put them into water.
This can only be attempted with any success straight after she has died as the fry will die within minutes her death.
Survival rates vary alot from this and i wouldn't expect anymore than a 50% survival rate from this but it is still worth it I

"GENTLY" is probably the key word....... I've done it about 30 times.... and had 10 successes..... ( the others have died)!

Good Luck.

Its really hard she jumps just as I'm squeezing here although since doing it she is now swimming backwards, Is that her trying to push it out.

is it possible to get her in a container so you can try better in there.
Don't press to hard on her tummy.

She is really destressed now and swimming upside down is there a quick way to put her out of her misery without losing the babies?

Jug of very cold water with ice cubes till the water freezing cold.
You will lose the fry though.

The fry could be pressing on the swim bladder and showing the signs of swim bladder.
Does she look in a bad way.

Had to quickly put son to bed and she was gone when I came down. I think I had squeezed her to hard as she had a bruise appear on her side. I wish I had just put her in a ice water to begin with want to sit and cry with guilt now maybe she would have been o.k if I'd left her.

Ok it always risky trying that method.
Wouldn't blame yourself.
Didn't sound to good I think by the sounds of it she wouldn't of made it anyway.
R.I.P.
