Hi, I have 3 red belly piranhas and i came home and saw that one of them has something on his eye. It looks like a whole layer of skin is hanging from his eye. I dont know if he was bit by another piranha or if it is puss coming out of his eye..? Please help!! :( :(

he might be getting some sort of infection, there is a possibility that it might be from aggression or stress
we can help you better with a pic.

its hard to take a picture because he is always hiding but i just took a look this morning when i turned the light on and the flab of whatever it was is gone, it appears that one of the other piranhas bit it off. i think he is blind now :( his whole eye is gone..

his eye was definitely eaten by the other 2. I feel so bad, he is hiding and trying to protect his bad eye while the other 2 are attacking him. What do i do? should i buy a separator for the tank? My boyfriend has a larger tank with 5 piranhas but they are probably twice the size as mine..should i move them into his tank? That was my original plan but now i feel like they will just get eaten in his tank.. what do i do :'(

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Does the wound look clean or infected.
I would issolate him. If you move him to the other tank there a chance they could attack him.
Also post in the right part of the forum who know alot about these type of fish.
