Help On Preparing Ocean Rock For Malawi (New And Old Rock)

ok i have now chosen to keep malawi cichilids

i have 3 pieces of ocean rock which has been cleaned, tonight i am getting some that has been kept in a large plastic container however and left outside, how do i clean this and make it safe?

also i am getting some tufa rock which was previously used in a "marine" setup...how do i make this safe to use on my malawi setup? this is currently in a plastic container but dried out (not been in water for months)

any advice and help welcomed

Just give it all a good scrub with Hot water
I would also soak to tufa rock after scrubbing it for a week or so also changing the water every other day to get rid of the salt

ive boiled bout 7 pieces already and have 3/4 more in as we speak, theyre gettin 30mins each and then resting in cold water, i'll change the water in the morning, and re-soak, then tmw nite i'll add them to declorinated water and soak ova nite.
