Help Needed

cycleing my ammonia is now taking about 15 hours to drop from 4 to 0 but my nitrites are still purple high. how long will it take for them to drop t0 0 been cycleing now for about 3 weeks nitrate is 10

You're getting there! Just keep doing what you're doing. Great that you have some nitrates and no ammonia!

Not long I would think, I tend to find nitrites drop pretty quickly. Lucky you only being three 3, my last setup took 5. Ammonia took ages to drop but I didnt get nitrites. Just how different cycles are.

ammonia is now dropping from 4 to 0 in 12 hours but nitrites are still purple how they come dwn quick.. taking for ever for them to drop nitrate is at 15 now.

Make sure your nitrite test isn't expired, and that you're shaking the heck out of it before you use it. Since you're getting 'trates now you should be close!

Like This Old Spouse said the fact your now getting nitrates is showing it's being converted from nitrites which is good news, Stay patient, your nearly there and are over the hard part.
