I've never seen Java Moss like that before !

Just leave him negative feedback, and buy some real moss !

I'll make sure that I never buy anything from him !
 
the item pictured in the advert is java moss
I'm assuming what you got sent is the same.

if you are not happy with the way the advert was worded and or the postage cost
tick the appropriate stars on the feedback form

I can't see any problem here other than making a profit from postage, which is not extortionate given
the time to harvest, bag, place in envelope and go to post office to send to you.
 
Jave moss is just about the most misidentified plant in the hobby. Unfortunately, I can`t see the eBay pic as I am not allowed to access the site at work.

If the picture is of a scraggy mess it is probably Java moss. True Java moss is far and away the ugliest moss available.

I will dig out the TAG article when I get home, but I believe (off the top of my head) that Java moss is usually called Vesicularia dubyana, when it is actually Taxiphyllum barbieri.

If its the well known auction site sellers cannot give negative feedback for buyers since last year.

I've looked at the add and all their other add's.
What is pictured is java moss
and it sats nothing about "Long finned java moss"

Do u have a pic of what you received?
 
Why not just report the item as "item recieved significantly different than advertised".
There is a dispute process for this very reason. If you paid by paypal then raise the dispute with them also but make sure you do it within the stated timescale (I think 45 days but don't quote me).
 
Wow I think I've started something here!!

I'll try and take some photos of the stuff I was sent later today (it doesn't look like the photo in the ad OR normal Java moss!!). As yet I haven't received the promised refund and I'll be looking into that on Monday.

Just to confirm what stang1 says, if you paid via paypal, go into your dispute console and raise and item significantly not as described dispute, you will have return the moss to him (do so recorded delivery or you have no case) and you will be refunded, although the process can take time.

I would also leave neg feedback if what you got wasnt what was described in the auction listing, he cant neg you back but he can leave a follow up comment, to which you can also comment back if you so wish.
 
Hi guys and girls,

Still haven't received refund and I haven't managed to take a photo of the cr*p I received as I'm not feeling that great today.....I'll try and post a photo tomorrow.
