the baby wont come out and it been like that for around 24 hours. im not sure what to do!!!! e-mail me. zanzibar_909@yahoo.ca for answers please
 
Right it must be a big baby, gently pull the tail to help release it from the mother, poor thing bet you are panicking.
 
like..... do you mean take it out of the water and lift it up? or just grab it or something?

yep this happens i find netting it then pulling it out will 5/10 save it how long has it been stuck?
 
i tried to pull out the baby when she was dead but it wouldn't come out. now i only have 2 guppys. male and female

sorry do you have a knife you ca usually save the rest of the fry if you are quick, it sounds bad but you may get some positive out of it :-(
 
too late shes gone... as in i flushed her. i was thinking about doing that but couldn't make myself do it. my dad says i can get more guppys and the other one i think just got pregnant too.

I agree but on the bright side it is how you learn, and nxt time she will know wot to do, after all that is how you learn in fish keeping, sorry for your loss :rip:
 
So sorry to hear that. Sometimes fish just have birthing troubles, there's really nothing you can do.

On another note, you should get another female Guppy. It's best to have at least 2 females per male, otherwise the male will just try to mate with the one female constantly, and stress her out. This can make her abort fry, or having birthing complications, and stress also makes them less immuse to disease. So I'd get at least one more female. :)
 
yeah i really want to get a bunch more guppys. what do you think maybe 6 females and 2 males? or should i just get two more females?
