i'd go with an algae eater of some sort. the candy stripe is not a good algae eater, so i would add maybe a bristlenose or since you already had a pleco planned, go for a couple siamensis for something of a different look

The ropefish, ABFs and plecos should be fine, but I think that ABFs would kick the gouramis sorry little butts

what if i put on one of those plastics tank divider panels.... could i has like 25 gallons for the rope fish and 30 gallons for a community tank? (or something to that extent)

no wait.....40 gallons for the rope fish,african butter, pleco and 15 gallons for the gouramis......also does anyone know a website where they would sell these tank dividers?
