On Friday I'm going down to a very large breeding farm to see if I can pick up some new inhabitants for the 300ltr Tangs tank.

At the moment I have 7 x Neolamprologus Brichardi, 2 x Brevis, 2 x Julies and a pleco who will be moved soon.

I'd ideally like some new tank mates which will be both colourful and also spend less of their time in the rocks and more out in open water or flitting around the substrate.

Was thinking of the following...obviously not all though.

Cyprichromis Leptosoma Kipili (Yellow Head)

or Utinta (Flourescent)

Coloritas Kabogo

Cyprichromis Zebra

Tropheus Brichardi Katonga

Tropheus sp. Ikola Kaiser

Tropheus sp. Mpimbwe Korongwe Bay Yellow Cheek

Anyone have anything they can advise on the above?

If your going for cyps in a 4 foot tank then you want non-jumbos and youd want around 10-12.
Tropheus ideally want a 5 foot tank, but you might get away with it, depending how many you get. Ideally though these like to be in high numbers. 10-12 and kept in species only tanks because of there different diet requirements, though i did keep a pair with my american cichlids at one point.

How anything will get on i dont know because 7 spawning brichardis wont be the friendliest. cheers
