Well im new to plants really so....
i have a silver sand at a substrate, now im looknig at plants, ive found from Greenline

It Contains
3 X DWARF SWORDS
2 X SAGITTARIA NATANS

Now i have a 40W bulb in my 47 gallon (uk) tank, ive been told thats around 1.1wpg so i realy need another bulb, do i?

All Help needed!

That is a fairly low light level, but you should be able to grow some of those plants (e.g. vallis, crypts, elodea, hygrophilia and swords) even if growth is slow. If you're using sand as a substrate, root tabs may help the crypts and the swords get some nutrients.

Make sure you have reflectors to make the most of the light you have available and see how things go.
