Hi i stumbled across this website as i was aimlessly trying to find out about trying to start a small tropical tank for both me and my daughter to enjoy together. I am a total newbie to all this i have only had a few goldfish over the years (many years ago) im looking for advive i have seen a 32 litre tank and was wondering would this do just to keep a small amount of fish as we are pushed for the room? I also read the post on fishless cycling and tho very good was left a little confused. PLEASE HELP

helloo :hi: to tff, its best to post this on the begginers part of the forum to get the best info and replies and good luck with your tank :good:

hello mad_munchkin,

for a small tropical tank you'll want to shoot for around 38 litres if you're pushed for space, though it's always best to try and get the biggest tank you can. if you end up with a 38 litre, these are some options for fish. you'll also want the standard equipment for a tank: hood, stand, filter, heater, thermometer, and an airstone if you want (it helps to add oxygen to the tank). :)
