I will try to upload pictures once I get a good one, but I have a female hi fin platy that has an orange dorsal fin, her tail fin fades from orange to transparent (up to down) and the fins on her underside are transparent. She has a dark blue mickey mouse pattern, her upper body looks orange in some light but for the most part she looks iridescent green blue. I can't find any pictures of similar looking platies and I'm wondering if this is an actual color variety or if she is a hybrid of different colour types

These are the best photos I could get because she is constantly zooming around! I also took a video

Looks like a Highfin Blue Platy. Or Blue Highfin Platy if you prefer :p
I've seen Highfin platy's and I've seen Blue (Or Blue Mickey Mouse Platys) But never a cross. I guess they're possible :p
But the black dots on the tail are indicative of Mickey Mouse, the fish is Blue, and it is clearly highfin :p :)

You are in the area of fancy platies. No matter what anyone else tells you, you need to continue to look at your fish that way. I am not and never have been a specialist in the keeping of special hybrids like yours. I will go further and say that nobody here is such a fish keeper. Let me recommend a site like ALA for such information. They are a specialist site with specific livebearer genetic information so they may be able to help you. I can link you to their site as this ALA.

I do have a hi-fin blue mickey mouse platy as well, but her colours are quite different than the pictures I have posted and she looks like a typical hi-fin blue mickey mouse platy, it's the orange fins that are throwing me off =P

I had no idea my fish was special when I got her, she was in a tank of mixed hi-fin platies, mostly of orange varieties and happened to be the only blue one. Thank you for the link though, I will definitely check it out.

it’s a orange finned Blue Mickey Mouse High fin platy there are many hybrid variety /colour types.

as KrystaK pointed out, Looks like a Highfin Blue Platy. Or Blue Highfin Platy if you prefer

although it's a blue platy type it's a nice looking fish.

It could be a mix of a blue coral platy and a hi fin Nicky mouse.... That would explain the fins and dots, and most coral platys I've seen are blue bodied and orange finned...

The orange fin is probably just a throw down from one of the parents or grand parents. Many twin bar platy's still have some orange on their fins even though their fins should be clear, the orange is just passed down from grandparent or parent fish who may have been sunset or red wags or some other variety of orange platy.
