help identify fish without a picture

hi i am thining about doing just a plain saltwater tank without a reef as i have just started uni and wont be able t afford a reef at the moment and well my lfs has a fish and its been there for about a yr and a half and i still dont know what it is someone on here has one exactly the same its got huge eyes around a 1/3 of its body they are huge it has kinda flowly tail and its got chunky black and white strips i know not much but if its not enough i will see if i can go and ask them what it is and hope they wont get it wrong

found the fish Banggai Cardinal um does anyone know if these are good marine pets or not

They are pretty tame and reefsafe. They MAY go for inverts, ie, they may go for any shrimp in the tank. If introduced at the same time, these can do OK in schools. SH
