Ok things aren't looking good atm for my 35 g tank. 2x sevy had pass away during the treatment of ich. And the remain one had recover from ich but now have secondary effect on other disease.

sign:
gasp on the water surface

not eating

some part of the fin on side turns red and some seems like got bite or something

alot of the stuff flood in the tank I clean out today they r kind of like slimmy mushy stuff.

Current:
ph=7
ammonia=0
nitrite=0.3 mg/l

did a 40% water change today

I try to read alot of the disease indentify thread and website to find out what this can be but there r some many disease with the sign of gasp on the water surface :sad:

Well you have a nitrite reading there so that could be the cause of the gasping, the red patches on the fins sound like septicemia is it the edging of the fins.

what the how come I got 3 post for this???? damn lag
ok so its the problem for the fin

Finrot.

Not the writer of this article.

Symptoms: Fish fins seem to erode away, red blood streaks visible in fins

Causes: Aeromonas & Pseudomonas bacteria species due to stress from poor water conditions, stress from fin-nipping damage by other fish, introduction of new fish with symptoms, poor nutrition and parasites (introducing bacteria into the skin)

Treatments: Best treatment for finrot is clean water (a bit of salt and Melafix is usually all that is necessary in most cases), Interpet number 8: 'Anti Fungus & Finrot', King British 'Finrot & Fungus Control', Waterlife 'Myzaxin', Aquarium Pharmaceuticals 'Melafix', any of the 'Furan' antibiotics, 'Maracyn'

It is important to locate the source of the problem. Check your water parameters for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate as poor water conditions are often the root cause of finrot.

Remember that most any med that will treat pathogenic bacteria that cause finrot will also have negative side effects on your good bacteria that break down waste and can further complicate problems with water quality (best treatment is done in a hospital/QT tank).

Fin nipping from an agressive fish may also be causing ragged fins.

I'm pretty sure the source is from a rock I recently added in to the tank. Before my tank is empty until I read about the breeding thread for sevy. So I dump a rock in. I had boil the rock a few time and leave it in water for like 3 days or so. Before I add it to tank but seems like it still have bad bacteria on it :( shouldn't have add it. Now they seems to be more better and active now after I dump more aquarium salt in to the tank. Swim down some time. I will see how it goes tomorrow hope they be healthy again.
