I have no real knowledge of african species, but to me they look to be a haplochromis of some sorts, depending on which species exactly they can get upto anywhere between 7-12inches in size

What size are they?At 1st glance they look like Placidochromis Milomo.The lips just dont seem right though.Maybe its the photo.And yes they are a Hap species.
