Help Id And Info Before I Buy One

can anyone give me the name of this gorgeous looking creature? i saw it in my my LFS (no name on tank) and wanted to look it up before i decide to buy one, also if anyone has kept one of these any info would be greatly appreciated

It's an axolotl, which is a salamander that never matures. Apart from that I know nothing.

Its a coldwater pet, an amphibian and quite easy to care for. You might actually need a chiller

I wanted one of those a few years back, until I found out you can't have them in Cali..

Lovely creatures. Not at all community (big mouths, big appetites), and get quite a following, but do really benefit from the chiller and good sized tank that most people can't offer.
