please can someone help me . what bulb do i need for decent plant growth, i dont know what my plants are so here is a pic. (its a ten gallon tank)

nothing to heavy duty please what i have in at the mo is a 6w and it is an all in one so cant put a too big bulb in.

Well in General you want something in the 5000 - 7100K color temperature and range and preferably full spectrum. You could probally just get a Coralife or something similar at a pets store. do you have low lighting plants?

I think its a hex tank? and that could limit your possibilities depending on the physical opening at the top, you want to achieve between 1 and 2 watts per gallon that will allow you to grow low to medium plants, start going over 2.5 watts and you will need co2.

so a 12w in a ten gallon could be ok, still a little small but better.
